How do you decide which hair extension method is right for you?

When I first started out, in 2006, offer hair extensions as another “salon service”, it was so new to the market because the only people getting extensions back then were the celebrities.

Fastforward to today, and hair extensions have gone mainstream with so many options but where do you start….and who do you go to?

Since the day I stepped out of my first Hair Extension class, I was so inspired by the artistry and solutions that I could offer to the public.

I set out to make it my mission to focus on only providing luxury makeovers, because the science, and techincal skill that is required to be able to share with you that if you want the convenience of going to just ONE HAIR ARTIST for EVERYTHING WAS what I have since created.

What type of hair extension methods are there?… and Why would you opt for one over the other?

This is such a great question!

There are multiple methods, and I took the time to get certified in every method to ensure that I could, and can provide an expert & educated opinion.

Why Choose Clip-In Hair Extensions?

  • Instant results — add length, volume, or pops of color in minutes.
  • No chemicals, heat, or glue — gentle on your natural hair.
  • Flexible styling — wear them daily or just for special occasions.
  • Easy to apply and remove — full makeover without salon time commitment.
  • Perfect for testing a new look before committing to permanent extensions.

What Are Sewn-In Wefts?

Sewn-in wefts are large strips of hair that are attached to your natural hair with beads or thread to hold them in place.

They can create fullness and length, but because they’re applied in wide sections, they don’t allow for the same fine-tuned blending or placement as other methods that I offer

💡 Why I Don’t Offer Them
Sewn-in wefts are less customizable for most clients. My focus is on precision makeovers — matching color, texture, and placement for seamless results. With wefts, that level of detail just isn’t possible, so I choose not to offer them.

They require more maintenance and more frequent visits to the salon for what are called “move-ups”.

Mid-Level Option

What Are Tape-In Extensions?

Tape-in extensions are thin, pre-taped wefts that are applied close to your scalp in “sandwiches” of your natural hair.

They lie flat, are lightweight, and blend more naturally than clip-ins — making them a great option if you want fuller, longer hair with less daily commitment.

💡 Why Choose Tape-Ins?

  • A step up from clip-ins → longer wear, less daily fuss.
  • Adds length and volume while still being removable and reusable (Up to 1 time when you take care of your extensions)
  • Gentle on your natural hair when applied and maintained correctly.
  • Perfect for trying a semi-permanent option before committing to a full luxury makeover.

Premium – The Best Choice

What Are Fusion / K-Tip Extensions?

K-tip extensions (formerly known as fusion extensions) use a small keratin bond at the tip of each strand of hair.

The bond is fused to your natural hair with a warm tool, or an ultra-sonic cold tool for creating a secure, long-lasting attachment.

Longest Lasting with Less Frequent Visits to the Salon…Excellent choice is you are very busy!

*This fusion method definitely provides the most flexibility for customization and is my preferred method for my business & clients.
